Mr. David Eduaful has been appointed as the Managing Director of Labadi Beach Hotel, Ghana’s premier five-star hotel.

With over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, David Eduaful is a highly accomplished professional. He is the first Ghanaian Managing Director of a five-star hotel in the country, having previously served in various capacities within the hotel.

David has demonstrated his expertise and knowledge by effectively fulfilling the hotel’s strategic and operational roles. His extensive experience gained, both locally and internationally, has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the sector.

David has a marketing degree from the Central University of Ghana and an executive master’s in business administration from the University of Ghana Business School.

When speaking about this significant appointment, Professor Douglas Boateng, Acting Chairman of the Board, said: “David’s dedication to delivering high-quality service, managing client relationships, and his undeniable passion for the hospitality industry has earned admiration from the supervisory Board of the hotel and his colleagues.”

Labadi Beach Hotel has led Ghana’s hospitality sector since its founding in 1991, providing great services to its esteemed customers and making important contributions to the country’s economy and tourism industry.

The hotel, which serves both pleasure and business tourists, is located in Ghana’s central business center near to one of the country’s most well-known beaches amid lovely tropical manicured gardens.

The Labadi Beach Hotel now has 164 rooms, including 2 Presidential Suites, 4 Executive Suites, and 4 Superior Suites, up from its initial 104 rooms in 1991. Additionally, it has 2 opulent lap pools, 5 bars, 2 restaurants, a 900-seat multipurpose conference room, banqueting facilities, a spa with a plunge pool, a well-equipped gym, and a lagoon for fishing. This is situated in a sizable tropical garden with views of the Maale Lagoon in its original state.

The British Monarchy, Heads of State, Prime Ministers, and other famous individuals who regard the hotel as their ideal location for both work and pleasure activities have stayed there over the years.

Speaking to the media, Mr. David Eduaful noted that the unique strategy, the highest standards of operation, and the passionate, committed employees that continually go above and beyond to surpass customer expectations are all factors that contributed to the success of this indigenous brand.

The prestigious CIMG Hospitality Facility of the Year in 2018, 2019, and 2021, as well as Best Maintained Facility in 2019, Best Events Hotel Venue in 2020 and 2021, Best 5-star Hotel of the Year in 2020 and 2021, Most Secure Hotel of the Year in 2021, and Most Digitalized Hotel of the Year in 2021 (organized by the Ghana Hotels Association), have helped Labadi Beach Hotel establish itself as a leader in the hospitality sector.

The hotel paid its sole shareholder, SSNIT, a GHc10 million dividend in March 2023.
