She was informed about ongoing relief efforts by Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, the Minister for the Interior, and other authorities during the visit. The briefing stated that the incident had an impact on 48 families.
While some families have taken temporary shelter with friends and family, plans have been put in place to help those who still require housing and other critical support.
The Vice President expressed the government’s worry and support for the impacted citizens, pointing out that even though no fatalities were reported, the accident had a major effect on families and children.

She gave victims the assurance that the government would keep collaborating with pertinent organisations to give them the assistance they need to start again.
Additionally, Vice-President Opoku-Agyemang demanded that the incident be thoroughly investigated in order to identify its root cause and bolster efforts to stop future incidents.
She emphasised the significance of upholding strict safety regulations and improving community preparedness for emergencies.
She also praised the emergency services, NADMO, security agencies, and all other stakeholders for their prompt action in containing the situation and helping the impacted residents.
