Dr. Dirk Assman, the Country Director of GIZ, said goodbye to the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry yesterday, Monday, June 8, 2026, after a successful tenure in Ghana.
Mr. Noah Tumfo, the Ministry’s Chief Director, conveyed the Sector Minister’s sincere gratitude to the departing GIZ Country Director.
He emphasised Dr. Assman’s essential contributions, especially in the fields of digital trade, pharmaceuticals, textiles and apparel, staff and industry player capacity building, and assistance for the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat.
In response, Dr. Assman expressed gratitude to the Ministry and the government for their assistance during his tenure.
He gave his word that GIZ and the Ministry will continue to collaborate in order to achieve greater growth and mutual benefit.
