The Central Region’s GNAT Junction to Polykamp Hostel Area Road construction is moving forward steadily. Works started in December 2025 and is projected to be completed by January 2027.
When finished, the project will improve a crucial Cape Coast corridor, facilitating traffic flow, enhancing resident and student connectivity, and bolstering the city’s position as Ghana’s center for education.
Right now, 10% of the work has been physically completed. Thus far, M/s Serengeti Construcao Limited, the contractor, has finished building 50 meters of storm drains, one box culvert, and 2.35 kilometres of U-drains.
Earthworks, building U-drains and culverts, building retaining walls, laying base and sub-base courses, surface dressing, providing road line markings and furniture and building speed bumps are all included in the project’s scope.
