The 2026 Civil Service Policy and Exhibition Fair, organized by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service (OHCS), has successfully concluded after four days of exhibitions, public education and stakeholder engagement at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The event, held from Monday, August 10 to Thursday, August 13, 2026, brought together Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs), as well as private sector organizations. Participating institutions used the platform to showcase their programmes, products, services and policy initiatives through exhibitions, visual displays and direct engagement with the public.
Held under the theme “The Resetting Agenda for Sustainable Development in Ghana: The Civil Service’s Responsibility,” the policy fair provided an opportunity for government institutions to educate citizens and Civil Service workers about their mandates, programmes and development initiatives. Some participating institutions also offered selected services to the public during the event.
MoTAI Showcases Key Industrial Policies
The Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry (MoTAI) and its agencies were among the key participants at the exhibition. The Ministry designed its exhibition booths to encourage public interaction and attracted considerable attention throughout the four-day event.
MoTAI used photographs, graphics and other visual materials to highlight major programmes and achievements implemented over the past year under the leadership of the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare.
One of the major highlights was the presentation of four strategic policies recently approved by Cabinet. Among the policies showcased were the Pharmaceutical Policy, Textile and Garments Policy, and Automotive Policy.
Officials from the Ministry engaged visitors and explained how the policies are expected to support industrial development, job creation, local manufacturing and economic growth in Ghana.
OHCS Leadership Commends MoTAI
The Chief Director of MoTAI, Noah Tumfo, who accompanied the Head of the Civil Service, Dr. Evans Aggrey-Darkoh, expressed satisfaction with the presentation of the Ministry’s exhibition stands.
Dr. Aggrey-Darkoh also commended MoTAI for its creative booth decorations and the effective presentation of important policy documents and information for public viewing.
MoTAI Participates in Cooking Competition
The 2026 OHCS Policy and Exhibition Fair also featured several side activities, including a cooking competition. MoTAI participated fully in the competition, with members of the Ministry’s team actively representing the institution and receiving certificates of participation.
The Ministry’s participation in the event highlights its commitment to government transparency, public education, stakeholder engagement and industrial transformation.
The successful exhibition also provided MoTAI with an opportunity to create greater public awareness about Ghana’s trade, agribusiness and industrial policies and their potential contribution to sustainable economic development.
