ECG Announces Planned Power Outage in Central Region, today, August 26

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a scheduled power outage in parts of the Central Region as part of planned maintenance works aimed at improving electricity supply and service reliability.

The maintenance exercise is scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During this period, residents and businesses in the affected communities may experience a temporary power interruption.

Areas Affected by the ECG Maintenance

The planned electricity outage will affect CP, Larota, Lawyer, Kotonkole, Fiifi Prat, Millennium City, Nyanyano Township, Kojo Oku, and surrounding communities.

ECG says the maintenance work is necessary to enhance power supply reliability, network performance and service delivery in the affected areas.

Residents, businesses and other electricity consumers within the affected communities are advised to make the necessary preparations ahead of the scheduled power interruption.

The Electricity Company of Ghana has apologized for the inconvenience the planned maintenance may cause and appreciates the cooperation and understanding of affected customers.
