The Social Protection Directorate (SPD) under the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection (MoGCSP) convened its 3rd Quarter Social Protection Inter-Sectoral Technical Committee (SPISTC) workshop from the 19th to 20th September, 2023 in Ho.
The meeting served as a pivotal platform for fostering collaboration, coordination, and synergy among various Social Protection (SP) initiatives at the national level.
The 3rd Quarter workshop had the following key focus areas:
– Review of Planned Activities: A central objective of this workshop was to evaluate planned activities for the 1st to 3rd quarters of 2023.
– Assessment of SP Monitoring and Evaluation: The workshop deliberated on the progress of the Social Protection Monitoring and Evaluation Management Information System (SP MEMIS-Dashboard), scheduled for launch in October 2023.
– Performance Presentations: The meeting also featured presentations by various SP implementing agencies, focusing on their performance during the first, second, and third quarters of the year. This allowed for a comprehensive evaluation of their contributions and achievements in the field of Social Protection.
The SPISTC convenes quarterly to, among other objectives, assess performance in Social Protection delivery and develop strategies.
