A pair of staff members of the Ghana Prisons Service (GPS) have been reported missing.
These two are Second Class Officer Asamani Maxwell Kissiedu, service number 11284, last reported to work on April 15, 2019, and Corporal Theophilus Yartey, service number 9906, who last reported to work on November 26, 2018.
The two have been reported missing to the Senior Correctional Centre (SCC) for being absent from work for more than 21 days.
The Officer-In-Charge (OIC) of the prison where the policemen were stationed, Deputy Director of Prisons DDP Millicent Owusu, claims that the officers have not reported for duty in a while without providing any official paperwork.
According to DDP Owusu, desperate attempts to find out where they are have yet to provide a result.
Corporal Theophilus Yartey, who is 5.10 feet tall and has a dark complexion, is from Aplaku in the Greater Accra Region. He speaks English, Ga, and Twi.
2CO Asamani Maxwell Kissiedu, who is 5.10 feet tall and has dark skin, is from Larteh-Akwapim in the Eastern Region. He speaks Twi and English.
The station’s OIC made a plea to the public to provide information about the two policemen to the police or the service.
