Hon. Kwame Agbodza and Dr. Ransford Abbey, COCOBOD CEO, met together earlier today to discuss how to finance and finish cocoa road projects that have stagnated.

To achieve this, a committee of technical representatives from COCOBOD and the Ministry of Roads and Highways has been established to streamline the portfolio of cocoa roads and overall obligations. The Committee has three weeks to turn in its report.

The goal of the rationalization procedure is to ascertain the true exposure of COCOBOD to cocoa road projects.

This will entail analyzing government financial commitments, appraising both current and halted projects, and suggesting a course of action to guarantee resources are allotted to finish these projects.

The government’s commitment to providing high-quality road infrastructure to stimulate economic activity in cocoa-producing districts was reaffirmed by Hon. Kwame Agbodza.
