Discussions on strengthening ties between Ghana and Huawei have been held between Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP), Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Ms. Julia Qiu Ye, Head of Huawei Technologies (Ghana) S.A. Limited’s Business Environment Department.
Digitalization and renewable energy options were the main topics of discussion at the Monday, April 7, 2025, meeting.
Ms. Julia Qui Ye praised Huawei’s successful collaboration with the Ghanaian government at the meeting and expressed the hope that the two parties’ mutually beneficial relationship would be strengthened even more. She also promised that Huawei would continue to strengthen ties with the nation.
Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP), Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, praised the impressive results of Ghana and Huawei’s years-long partnership in digitizing the public sector.
He added that the company might offer solutions for the effective deployment of renewable energy in keeping with the government’s aim to reset the energy sector.
As the conference came to an end, both sides reaffirmed their dedication to strengthening connections in order to enhance the well-being of Ghanaians.
