The Accra West Region Management of Ghana Water Limited (GWL) has taken strong measures to stop unlawful water connections that still have an impact on its operations after discovering approximately 1,500 instances of illegal connections throughout its 12 operational districts.

As part of its benevolence and dedication to the public interest, the company gave these illicit water customers a grace period during which they might voluntarily come forward and regularize their connections without fear of legal repercussions.
