We can rely on your professionalism as we approach the next elections, the National Chairman of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, stated following the party’s internal elections on Saturday morning. He appeared delighted with how the police handled security.
In the weekend elections organized by the major opposition party, he complimented the Ghana Police Service for acting with the utmost integrity, professionalism, and sense of duty.
He emphasized that there were no security breaches throughout the orderly vote process and that the police were efficient in carrying out their duty during the primaries.
In the meantime, police around the nation have detained eight (8) persons for a variety of election-related offenses and causing a disturbance during the NDC’s presidential and parliamentary primaries on Saturday, April 13, 2023.
Yaro Burdove, Harrison Martey, Imoro Ibrahim, Arkoli Mensah, Nyarko Richard, Prince Lomotey, Hamidu Dramani, and Bejando Emmanuel were among the suspects detained at various polling places in four different electoral districts around the nation.
