President John Dramani Mahama arrived in Singapore this afternoon (morning in Ghana) for a three-day State Visit to strengthen bilateral ties, expand trade and investment, and advance partnerships in education, science and innovation, urban solutions, agribusiness, and the digital economy.
During his visit, President Mahama will hold bilateral conversations with Singapore’s President, H.E. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, and Prime Minister, The Hon. Lawrence Wong.
He will also deliver the keynote presentation at the 8th Africa-Singapore Business Forum (ASBF) and host a Ghana-specific Investment and Business Forum, which will bring together public and private sector leaders to explore new prospects between Ghana and Singapore.

President Mahama stated upon arrival, “Ghana and Singapore share a forward-thinking approach based on innovation, skills, and enterprise. This visit will put our shared ideals into action, bringing Singaporean investment and know-how to Ghana’s key sectors while creating new opportunities for Ghanaian enterprises throughout Southeast Asia.”
The President is accompanied by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP), Minister of Foreign Affairs; Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Advisor and Special Aide to the President; Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare (MP), Minister of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry; and Haruna Iddrisu (MP), Minister of Education.
The team includes Felix Kwakye Ofosu (MP), Presidential Spokesperson and Minister of State for Government Communications; Simon Madjie, CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre; and Francis Kwarteng Arthur, CEO of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority.
