Bishop Samuel Ben Owusu led a group from the International Association of World Peace Advocates to the Rt. Hon. Sumana Kingsford Bagbin as a courtesy call to promote greater peace and stability in the nation.
In addition to discussing different tactics to support or advocate for peace, the meeting underlined the significance of peace and stability in Ghana.
Creating a forum for proponents of peace, incorporating advocacy into the government apparatus, putting in place a strong legal framework for peace, and possibly launching the National Peace and Tolerance Index Awards to honor groups that put tolerance at the forefront of their daily work were some of these tactics.

This meeting’s objectives included sharing ideas that they felt could contribute to national peace and thanking the Rt. Hon. Speaker for his outstanding leadership and important influence during the 8th and 9th Parliaments.
Mr. Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror, the Clerk to Parliament, emphasized that in order to achieve peace, certain sacrifices must be made.
The team was formally welcomed by the Rt. Hon. Speaker, who also praised their steadfast dedication to promoting peace and emphasized the need for additional associations of this kind.
He also emphasized the necessity of practicing peace and solidarity, as well as the significance of bringing about peace by justice, all the while refusing to tolerate bullying.
He gave the International Association of World Peace Advocates his word that Parliament will make every effort to advance sustainable development and peace.
