The Vice President, Dr. Mahamoudu Bawumia, has stated that if he is elected President of Ghana, he will rectify the mistake of the Banda District not being included among the beneficiary areas under Agenda 111.
Dr. Bawumia claims that the District ought to have benefited from Agenda 111, which calls for the construction of over 100 hospitals for various districts, given it lacks a hospital.
Speaking at the Trinity Congregation of the Presbyterian Church at Kabronum in the Banda District of the Bono Region, Dr. Bawumia made the argument.
On the final day of his four-day tour of the Bono Region, the Vice President was scheduled to visit the constituencies of Banda, Tain, and Wenchi.
The Islamic Community, the Kabronum Traditional Council, and other Christian groups gathered at the nearby Presbyterian Church to begin the day’s activities.
The Local Council of Churches Chairman, Rev. Moses Agyei, made a brief statement urging peaceful electioneering, saying that God will select Ghana’s next appropriate leader.
Ustaz Moro, a representative of the Islamic community, made a request that the neighborhood Islamic school be given a SHS and that additional Arabic teachers be sent to the institution.
For his part, Nana Sah Chambe Seneapem, the Chief of Kabronum, seized the chance and made a few requests after complimenting the NPP administrations for their monumental projects, which included the construction of cashew and sugar cane processing factories in the Banda Districts, the tarring of their roads, and the Bui Generating Station.
During his speech, Vice President Dr. Bawumia expressed his desire for support from the Ghanaian people in order to follow the outgoing president and carry on the remarkable work that has been done to improve the lives of Ghanaians, with a focus on agriculture.
Additionally, the Vice President says that their exclusion from Agenda 111 was an error that, should he be elected, he will fix.
Additionally, the Vice President and his team made stops at the hundreds of fervent supporters’ demonstrations at Kabronum and Sabiye in Banda.
The NPP Flagbearer is expected to campaign at the Tain and Wenchi Constituencies on the last day of his trip to the Bono Region.
