Dr. Kojo Essiem Mensah-Abrampa, a renowned economist and development strategist, has passed away.
According to reports, on Monday, July 1, 2024, he passed away in the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital. He held the position of National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) Director General.
In the early hours of Monday morning, Dr. Mensah-Abrampa was taken to the hospital for treatment following what seemed to be a potential heart attack, according to family-affiliated sources.
The hospital’s medical staff declared him deceased.

With 28 years of expertise, Dr. Mensah-Abrampa was a well-respected authority in the fields of economics and development planning.
