The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a planned maintenance exercise in parts of the Ashanti Region as part of efforts to improve electricity supply, service reliability, and power distribution across affected communities.
According to ECG, the scheduled maintenance works will result in a temporary power outage on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, as engineers carry out essential work on the electricity distribution network.

The planned ECG power interruption will affect Anyinam, Ahenema Kokoben, Sakora Park, Christian University, Odeneho Kwadaso, OWASS, Dr. Anane, VIP Hotel, Breman, Kronum, UGC, Wood Village, Oti Kuwait, Oti Estate, Asaago, Bekwame, Kyekyewere, Trede, Paah, Pakyi No. 1, Semanhyia, Sanvick, ICS, and surrounding communities.
Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to make the necessary preparations ahead of the scheduled electricity outage.
ECG explained that the maintenance exercise is necessary to improve power supply reliability and service delivery. The company has also apologised to customers for any inconvenience the temporary interruption may cause.
