The Board of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Ghana Ltd. has announced a new leadership structure, hiring seasoned banking executives to key positions as part of a larger strategy to strengthen governance, improve operational efficiency, and position the bank for its next phase of expansion.
At the heart of the changes is the nomination of Mr. Bernard Gyebi as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, commencing January 1, 2026.
He takes over after Mr. Uzoechina Molokwu, who guided the bank through a phase of institutional strengthening and consolidation.
With a career spanning corporate governance, regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, and extensive organisational transformation, Mr. Gyebi brings to the position over 27 years of executive-level expertise in Ghana’s banking sector.
