Former Bantama New Patriotic Party, Member of Parliament, Okyem Aboagye Is Dead

Okyem Aboagye, a former Member of Parliament (MP) from the Bantama Constituency, passed away on September 23, 2023, following a brief illness.

He held office for four years and defeated Henry Kwabena Kokofu by a wide margin in 2015.

Prior to losing his position in the NPP primaries ahead of the 2020 general elections to Francis Asenso-Boakye, he served as a member of the Finance Committee during his time in parliament.

The deceased was also the Chief Executive Officer of 2M Express, a well-known transportation service that runs between Accra and Kumasi.
