The Ghana Education Service (GES) has engaged the leadership of teacher unions over concerns raised by teachers regarding the applicable dates for the 2025 teacher promotion exercise.
In a statement, GES Management said the engagement was held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, following concerns from teachers about the substantive dates relating to the 2025 promotion process.
Management acknowledged the concerns raised by teachers and assured the unions that further discussions would be held to carefully examine the issue and find an appropriate solution.
The Ghana Education Service also reaffirmed its commitment to reaching an amicable resolution with the teacher unions while addressing issues surrounding the 2025 teacher promotion exercise.
GES Management expressed confidence in the continued support, cooperation and understanding of teachers as discussions on the matter continue.
