The Ghana Education Service (GES) has warned teachers applying for promotion to beware of fraudsters allegedly demanding GH¢210 to facilitate their applications.
In a public notice, the GES management disclosed that it had received reports of individuals requesting payments from promotion applicants under the false pretext of helping them secure approval.
The Service stressed that the teacher promotion process is fair, transparent and completely free of charge. Applicants are therefore urged not to pay anyone who claims to have the ability to facilitate, influence or guarantee their promotion.
The GES has advised all teachers to follow only the official application procedures and guidelines issued by the Service to avoid falling victim to recruitment and promotion scams.
Teachers who receive suspicious payment requests should exercise caution and seek clarification through the appropriate official GES channels.
The warning is intended to protect teachers from financial fraud and ensure that the promotion process remains transparent and accessible to all eligible applicants.
