Asaaseradio’s recent allegations that the Ghana Gold Board (“GoldBod”) lost more than GH¢3 billion in its first year of existence have been addressed.

GoldBod has vehemently refuted the study, calling it “entirely false and deliberately contrived” in an attempt to downplay the Board’s accomplishments and important contributions to Ghana’s economic revival.

Despite the assertions, the GoldBod has continuously produced significant surpluses since its founding. The Board affirmed that these successful outcomes will be reflected in its next quarterly financial statements, which will be posted on its official website.

In a statement, the Ghana Gold Board called on the public to treat the Asaaseradio article with “utmost contempt,” demanded that the station’s management withdraw the publication, and offered Ghanaians an unconditional apology for spreading false and unethical material.

GoldBod reiterated its dedication to accountability, openness, and sustaining Ghana’s economic expansion.
