Mr Mfo Richard Tibetor, a teacher at Okadjakrom Senior High Technical School in the Jasikan Municipality of the Oti Region, has been placed under interdiction by the Ghana Education Service (GES) due to allegations of sexual misconduct involving a female pupil.

The move comes after a frightening video that allegedly captured the incident went viral on social media, according to a statement from the GES.

“Management of GES finds the conduct unacceptable, unethical, and a clear violation of the professional code of conduct for teachers. Hence, Mr Tibetor has already been interdicted and prohibited from entering the school premises pending further investigations,” the statement said.

The Service emphasised that any teacher found guilty of wrongdoing would face the full force of the law in accordance with the GES Code of Conduct, and it reassured parents, guardians, and the public that the safety and protection of kids remain its first concern.

The declaration restated GES’s dedication to professionalism, discipline, and child safety in all of the nation’s schools.
