Jones Borteye Applerh has been named as GIHOC Distilleries’ acting CEO by President John Mahama.

Jones Borteye Applerh was appointed in accordance with Ghana’s 1992 constitution’s article 195(1).

This comes after Maxwell Kofi Jumah, the former CEO, was fired by the president.

The date of his appointment was January 21, 2025.
