Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has lauded former President John Kufuor as a listening leader who gave his life for Ghana.

In a toast to Mr. Kufuor, the Asante king said, “The little that I knew about him at that time and this time is that he was a listening president,” adding, “He listened to advice,” at Exeter College, University of Oxford, where the former Ghanaian leader was honored.

The Asantehene added, “This is a man who had no money, and even his party executives gave up on him to be president, but destiny had it that he was going to be president and he became the president. Otumfuo stated, “This is a man who gave his life for Ghana.
