According to a statement from the Presidency’s Communications Directorate, the President departed the nation on Sunday, January 11, 2026, en route to the United Kingdom, where he is anticipated to meet with Accra Reset Initiative organisers.
The statement claims that the UK interactions are a part of continuous efforts to further the initiative, which aims to reposition Ghana’s institutional, economic, and governance framework for sustainable national development.
President Mahama will travel to Davos after his visit to the UK to take part in a session of the World Economic Forum, an annual international forum that brings together academics, business executives, political leaders, and members of civil society to discuss important global development and economic issues.
