A man who was shown in a widely shared video using a machete to attack someone close to a fuel tanker has been taken into custody by the Ghana Police Service.
According to a police statement released on Thursday, April 10, the suspect, Dawuda Sumaila, a tanker driver’s mate, was captured on April 9, 2025, after an intelligence-led operation.
Sumaila is presently being held in order to assist with the investigation of the violent event that took place in Anyinam in the Eastern Region on Friday, April 4, 2025.
