The event honored police officers who died in the line of duty with wreath-laying, the lighting of the permanent flame, and a flag-raising ceremony. Prayers were offered for the slain heroes, their families, and the nation, as well as for peace, security, and progress.

Every year, the ceremony honors police officers who have given their lives while serving their country.

Government officials, security personnel, and the families of the slain heroes were among the dignitaries present at the ceremony.
