The Ministry of Roads and Highways would like to inform the public that the government plans to reinstate road and bridge tolls in order to raise money for road upkeep and associated expenses.
The Ministry is assembling the components of a cutting-edge, technologically advanced toll collection system in order to achieve this goal.
In a statement released by the ministry, it said, “To achieve this objective, the Ministry will employ an open, transparent, competitive, cost-effective and fair procurement process.”
“The Ministry wishes to assure the public of its commitment to introducing a modernized system that addresses the current tolling and road maintenance funding challenges of the country.” statement added.
