The Greater Kumasi area of the Ashanti Region has had a number of current road projects inspected by Mr. Francis Asenso-Boakye, Minister of Roads and Highways.
The visit is a part of the government’s effort to make the area’s road system better and transit more efficient.
The Minister’s visit included a stop at the Dakodwom-TUC Junction section of the Kumasi Western Bypass, a major project designed to improve connectivity and reduce traffic in the city.

Mr. Asenso-Boakye assessed the state of the Kaase roads in the Asawase Constituency.

The Minister also went to see the St. Louis Senior High School’s bypass development, which is a project intended to facilitate access to the school and the neighborhoods around it.
It is anticipated that this bypass will reduce traffic congestion in the neighborhood, improving the safety and efficiency of commutes for both locals and students.
Mr. Asenso-Boakye evaluated roadworks covering Mamponteng, Kenyase, and Maase Atimatim in the Kwabre district.
To ensure that all areas of Greater Kumasi benefit from continuing advancements, the government is implementing a larger plan to upgrade rural and peri-urban infrastructure, which includes the roadways in these communities.
A tour of a few of the roads in the Kwadaso Constituency’s Power Chapel enclave was also part of the inspection.
In addition to expressing delight with the advancements, the Minister underlined how crucial it is to finish the projects on time in order to increase resident access and mobility.
The Minister examined a number of roads in the Bantama Constituency, including those in Bohyen, Kokoso/Asubonteng, Ohwim/Amanfrom, Abrepo, and Asuogya.
These locations are important centers of commerce and residential activity, and the improved roads should improve the standard of living for locals.
Lastly, the Minister paid a visit to Bantama’s almost finished Atafoa Bridge project.
Within the constituency, the bridge is anticipated to enhance transportation connections and offer a dependable path for the movement of people and commodities.
Mr. Asenso-Boakye emphasized the significance of quality and durability in all road construction efforts while restating the government’s commitment to expediting the completion of these projects.
