President Mahama is “considering an ambitious project called ‘the Tamale Outer Ring Road,’ aimed at boosting economic activities and improving vehicular movement in and around Tamale,” Hon. Kwame Agbodza told the Overlord of Dagbon.
During a courtesy call on the Yaa Naa at the Gbewa Palace, Hon. Agbodza stated that the project is in line with the President’s goal of creating more durable and improved road infrastructure for Ghanaians.
The Minister stated that in order to make strategic decisions about enhancing the nation’s road network, he and his team of engineers are conducting an inspection visit to obtain firsthand information on a few significant projects.
Later, the Minister visited the Tamale-Yendi-Tatale road, the Daka Bridge at Yendi, and the Bailey Bridge construction project at Wapuli on the Saboba road, which spans 60 meters.
The government’s “Big Push” initiative was praised by the Yaa Naa, who said it was a driving force behind the nation’s transformation.
In order to guarantee the provision of high-quality road infrastructure across the country, he urged the Minister to cultivate close cooperation with stakeholders.
Hon. Agbodza personally donated 500 sacks of cement to the new Gbewa Palace’s building during his visit to the Yaa Naa.
