President Mahama visited the Apam–Mumford–Hweda–Dago–Otuam Road project yesterday as part of his “Resetting Ghana Tour” in the Central Region.
A vital link to the N1 Trunk Road, the 15.0 km road project, being carried out by Messrs. Timelines and Innovation Construction Limited, connects Apam, Mumford, Hweda, Dago, and Otuam.
When finished, it will change the Gomoa West and Ekumfi Districts’ fishing, farming, commercial transportation, tourism, and interdistrict travel.

President Mahama was pleased with the contractor’s steady pace and high calibre of work during his visit.
The project is now ahead of schedule, according to Hon. Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini, Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways, who briefed the President.
He underlined that the improved road will greatly empower local farmers and fishermen, enabling them to easily transport their produce and fresh catch to major markets and urban areas, minimising post-harvest losses and strengthening the local economy.
