The first-ever Committee on Security and Intelligence was sworn in by the Rt. Hon. Speaker, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, in accordance with Order 258(4) of the new Standing Orders of Parliament, which went into force in January 2024.
During the swearing-in event, the Speaker congratulated the members and advised them to exercise prudence and diligence in their job because security problems are delicate and important for Parliament and Ghana overall.
