Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, the Minister of the Interior, celebrated the 80th Remembrance Day at the Christiansburg War Cemetery in Accra alongside H.E. President John Dramani Mahama and other dignitaries.

The event paid tribute to Ghanaian troops who fought and lost their lives during World Wars I and II.

Wreaths were laid in a solemn setting, and at 11 a.m., a two-minute silence was observed in remembrance of the lost warriors. The courageous troops who sacrificed their lives for freedom and peace were honoured.

Every year on November 11, people mark Remembrance Day, which serves as a remembrance of the sacrifices made during the two World Wars.
