Armed National Security agents stormed the private home of former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s Aide-de-Camp (ADC), Yakubu Issahaku, in Sapeiman on Saturday, April 5, 2025.
Issahaku claims that around 6:14 p.m., a buddy sent him a WhatsApp message informing him that about 30 armed and disguised military officers had broken into his house.
The operatives, he said, ravaged the entire property, causing extensive damage.
Broken security doors, disconnected CCTV systems, and the removal of internet routers, switches, and the hard drive from the house were among the damages that were recorded.
Allegedly, every room in the house was searched without cause or legal basis.
Superintendent of Police Sulemana Sule, who is presently based at Jubilee House and runs out of the Blue Gate, was named by Issahaku as the operation’s leader.
Significantly, Issahaku claimed to know the officer personally and that the superintendent is aware of their relationship, which raised more questions about the raid’s legitimacy and motivation.
Serious questions have been raised by the incident regarding the behavior of state security agents and the treatment of those connected to former high-ranking politicians.
