The new FIC Board is inaugurated by the finance minister.

A seven-member board for the Financial Intelligence Center (FIC) has been established by Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.

These are the new members of the board:

• Mr. Mike Kofi Afflu – Chairperson

• Mr. Albert Kwadwo Twum Boafo – Chief Executive

• Ms. Grace Mbrokoh-Ewoal – Ministry of Finance/Member

• Ms. Elizabeth Ama Yankah – National Security/member

• Dr. Kwasi Osei Yeboah – Member

• A representative from the Ministry of the Interior (Senior Police Officer) • A representative from the Attorney-General’s Department

The Board’s mission is to assist Ghana in combating financial crimes, including money laundering and terrorism financing.

The FIC is essential to safeguarding Ghana’s financial system, particularly in light of the growing sophistication of financial crimes and fraud.
