Members of the Armed Forces Council who were recently selected as military service commanders were sworn in by President John Dramani Mahama today.

Following the event at the Ministry of Defense, the council met to discuss a number of topics, such as retooling and promotions for the Ghanaian military.

Air Vice Marshall Eric Agyen-Frempong, Chief of Air Staff; Real Admiral Godwin Livinus Bessing, Chief of Naval Staff; Major General William Agyapong, Chief of Defense Staff; and Major General Lawrence Kwaku Gbetanu, Chief of Army Staff, are the recently sworn-in officers.

Other Armed Forces Council members, such as Minister for Foreign Affairs Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minister for the Interior Alhaji Mohammed Muntaka, and Minister for Defense Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, attended the occasion. Additionally in attendance were President Joyce Bawah Mogtari’s Special Aide, President Advisor, and Secretary to the President Dr. Callistus Mahama.
