Haruna Iddrisu, Ghana’s minister of education, has requested a thorough probe into the circumstances surrounding the death of a University of Cape Coast level 200 student.
After being reported missing, Ms. Innocentia Avinu was discovered dead with no severed body parts.
What happened to the energetic young student is unclear.
However, the Education Ministry’s statement has called on the school’s administration to collaborate closely with security personnel in order to solve the mystery surrounding her murder and prosecute those responsible.
The minister took the chance to express sympathy to the deceased’s family and reassure them that the government would hold those responsible for this accountable.
