A credit facility agreement for three hundred million US dollars (US $300,000,000.00) has been approved by Parliament between the Government of the Republic of Ghana and the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank group.
The purpose of this agreement is to finance secondary education for transformation for access, relevance, and results for job projects.
The facility aims to improve the quality and labor-market relevance of secondary and TVET programs, eliminate the double-track system, and increase equitable access to secondary education, according to Hon. Isaac Adongo, the chairman of the Finance Committee, who presented the committee’s report to the House.
Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, the Minister of Education, commended the House for authorising the facility to improve the nation’s educational institutions.
