The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) was called to a deadly traffic accident between a Toyota Isuzu and a Toyota Voxy in Ajumako Kokoben in the Central Region.
Eleven people were hurt and three people died in the collision. Four trapped people were saved by firefighters, while seven had already been saved by onlookers. All injured individuals were turned over to medical professionals for care.
Investigations are still ongoing, but preliminary indications indicate that the crash happened after the Toyota Voxy allegedly tried a fast overtaking manoeuvre in sandy conditions.
Additionally, firefighters guarded the area and allowed traffic to resume.
