The first year students of the Fomena Nursing and Midwifery Training School numbering about 200 were on Thursday, October 12, 2023, given contemporary Fire Safety Education with the aim of forestalling any future fire outbreak in the school.
The team of Fire Safety Officers, led by the District Fire Officer, DO III Kyere Samuel, educated the students on fire safety measures on how to prevent institutional and domestic fires, proper way of handling electrical gadgets and LPG, practical ways of extinguishing fires with a portable fire extinguisher and a wet jute blanket.
The students who were elated about the engagement pledged to adhere to the safety guidelines given them. Their questions were answered satisfactorily by the Fire Safety Officers.
