The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has come under fire from the Nationwide Supporters of Alan Cash (NAWSAC) for reportedly trying to divert youth support from Alan Kyerematen’s Movement for Change by providing money incentives.
NAWSAC expressed grave worry over what they saw as the NPP’s unethical tactics in a press release released on Monday, April 22, 2024, and advised young people to resist financial inducements.
The NAWSAC convener, Luther-King Junior, emphasized how many young people are disenchanted with the National Democratic Party (NDC) and the New Progressive Party (NPP) because of what they perceive to be deceptive strategies.
He highlighted that NAWSAC members are unwavering in their devotion to Alan Kyerematen as leader.
The group further voiced disbelief at the NPP’s seeming assumption that offering financial incentives could influence youth, seeing it as a sign of the party’s ignorance of the youth’s values and objectives.
Furthermore, NAWSAC emphasized that the youth will not be taken advantage of by the NDC or NPP.
They called for political players to understand that the youth’s resolve and devotion to their cause cannot be undermined by insignificant actions like posting posters and creating noise.
