The National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) running mate, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has called on Ghanaians to overthrow the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration, claiming it is inflicting widespread suffering.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang urged people to back NDC presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama in the next general elections on December 7 during a courtesy call on the Regent of Wungu, Sulemana Saka Adams, in Walewale, North East Region.
Voting for Mahama and the NDC, she underlined, would help “reset” the nation and enhance the welfare of all Ghanaians.
“I doubt if any of our predecessors would have thought that the most important thing to do at this time is to go and unveil a statue to themselves.
“I want to end here by thanking you and your elders for accepting us. And again, to appeal that we all come together and vote and bring in a government that is not an angel but we know he will do the best for his people and leave a good legacy.”
The NDC’s running mate is expected to continue day two of her tour of the North East Region.
