With the gracious assistance of the Ghanaian government, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has expanded its operating capabilities by acquiring 23 new utility vehicles.
The vehicles, which consist of four command cars and 19 pickups, are anticipated to improve the operation of the Service nationwide.
A specially constructed Bushfire Response Rapid Intervention Vehicle (BFRRIV) was supplied by Fire Aid UK and the International Development Team as a major international assistance gesture. With its ability to traverse difficult terrain, this special vehicle is poised to transform bushfire control by assisting in the defense of natural vegetation and farmlands against destructive bushfires.

The vehicles were formally turned over by Hon. Henry Quartey (MP), Minister for the Interior, who was the Special Guest of Honor at the National Annual Bushfire Prevention Campaign start for GNFS on November 15, 2024.
In order to guarantee the vehicles’ lifetime and peak performance, he asked the GNFS to give maintenance top priority.
The Government’s dedication to providing the GNFS with the resources it needs to protect people, property, and the environment is demonstrated by these additions.
