An eight-member Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF) Board was sworn in during a brief ceremony in Accra by Hon. Thomas Ampem Nyarko, Deputy Minister for Finance.
The Deputy Minister, who spoke during the inauguration, emphasized the government’s faith in the newly established Board, saying that their appointment demonstrated faith in their knowledge and ability to lead.
He asked the Board to give top priority to finding and financing bankable infrastructure projects that might draw in both domestic and foreign capital, promoting sustained economic development and growth.

In addition to GIIF Chief Executive Officer Nana Dwemoh Benneh, Hon. Theresa Lardi Awuni, Dr. Eric Afful, Hon. Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, Ms. Harriet Anewenah, Ms. Linda Quaynor, and Nana Ansah Kwao IV, the newly sworn-in Board is chaired by Mr. Franklin Mensah.
Board Chairman Mr. Franklin Mensah, on his part, thanked President Mahama and the Finance Minister for their faith in the team and promised that the Board would be results-oriented and dedicated to fulfilling its purpose.
