Drumming and noise-making are banned, the Ministry of Chieftaincy demands.

The Ga Traditional Area’s prohibition on drumming and making noise has been requested by the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.

This comes after the Ga Traditional Council published a news release on the ban on drumming and loud noises from 15 May to 15 June 2023.

The Chieftaincy ministry’s statement, however, made it clear that “Clergy might utilize microphones at lower volumes, and this includes public address systems in church auditoriums.

Only in church auditoriums is clapping of hands at a low volume permitted, it stated.
