Kennedy Agyapong will submit his NPP presidential bid tomorrow, August 27.

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, will file his candidacy papers for the party’s presidential primary on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

The former Assin Central MP’s filing is planned for 1 p.m. at the NPP headquarters in Accra.

Kwasi Kwarteng, the spokesperson for Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign team, revealed this on his X page on Monday, August 25, 2025.

”This is to officially inform the general public, members, and sympathisers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong will be filing his nomination to contest for the flagbearership position of the party in the upcoming 2026 presidential primaries.”

He joins the race as one of the frontrunners, having finished second to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the party’s 2024 flagbearer contest.
