Residents of Akosombo, Adjena, Adumasa, Gyakiti, Anyaase, Mpaproase, Kudikope, Yeiniama, and Sedorm have expressed enthusiasm over the rapid advancement of the Yeiniama Junction–Sedorm Feeder Road Project and the Akosombo–Gyakiti–Kudikope Road.
The project is scheduled to be finished in November 2027, having begun in November 2025. With 40% of the work completed, the project is ahead of schedule.
As of right now, the contractor has finished clearing the site, built 80% of the U-drains and 70% of the culverts, and the subbase and pavement creation are moving forward at a steady pace.
The scope of the project includes:
· Site clearance
· Earthworks
· Construction of U-drains and culverts
· Subbase and base works
· Double sealed bituminous surface dressing
· Road furniture and associated works
When the road is finished, it will increase trade and tourism, improve mobility and road safety, shorten travel times, lessen flooding, and generate jobs.
