Deputy Minister Hon. Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui joined President John Dramani Mahama on Thursday to inspect ongoing construction works at the Saglemi Housing Project, as government intensifies efforts to complete the long-delayed housing development.
The 1,500-unit Saglemi Housing Project, being completed by LMI Holdings, is expected to provide modern and affordable housing infrastructure for Ghanaians.
The completed housing estate will feature a dedicated water supply system, internet connectivity and other essential infrastructure designed to improve living conditions and provide residents with a comfortable and well-serviced community.

Following a briefing from the developer on the progress of construction, President Mahama disclosed that the Saglemi Housing Project is expected to be ready for commissioning by the end of 2027.
The President further revealed that the first 700 housing units are scheduled for completion by March 2027, marking a significant milestone in government’s efforts to revive and complete the project.
The completion of the Saglemi Housing Project is expected to contribute to Ghana’s housing development agenda, increase access to quality accommodation and address part of the country’s housing deficit.
