Regional health directors have been significantly reorganized by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) in an effort to enhance healthcare delivery across the country.

On May 19, 2025, the modifications will take effect.

Dr. Kwame Amponsa-Achiano, Manager of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI); Dr. Stephen Ayisi Addo of the AIDS Control Program; and Dr. Keziah Malm of the National Malaria Elimination Programme are among the important individuals impacted by the reorganization.

The reforms are part of a larger national strategy to improve service delivery and revitalize the health sector, according to a circular signed by Prof. Samuel Kaba Akoriyea, the GHS’s Acting Director-General, and sent to all divisional and regional directors.
